Surrey Youth Chess Matches 2008/9

Saturday 13th September. Under 18 team event in Berkshire. A 12 board event which Surrey won beating Sussex 8 - 4 and then Bucks by a similar margin Details here

Saturday 4th October: NYCA Under 18 (8 board) inter-county team championship in Birmingham.

SCCU Under 14/U90 matches Details of this tournament, open to those in year 9 and below with a rapidplay grade below 90, will be available in the Autumn. Teams have 12 players, and there are often playing reserves. The team manager is Carole Kliger cjkliger@yahoo.co.uk

• Saturday 6th December: Hants vs Surrey, U14/U90

Sunday 7th December 2008: 10 board Under 16 team Surrey, Berks, Sussex and Bucks at Wilson's School, Wallington.

Saturday 28th February ECF U18/U13 County Championship at Heator Moor Science College, Derbyshire We expect to enter teams in the U18, U18 minor and U13 sections

Sunday 29th March 2009 SCCU U18 Jamboree at Wilson's School, Wallington. Last year we fielded a total of 4 teams. This coming year we will again expect to enter quite a few teams in the minor as well as an open team.
