We took what I thought was a weakened team but they performed magnificently. In the first round they scored an amazing 7 out of 8 and were first equal with Berks. The first result was a loss, but after that came win after win! Five of the games went into the last 5 minutes. Result of the round was Aditya Gupta's win over the Berks board 3. Round 2 brought us back to earth – only 3.5 points. We were still in third place going into round 3 where we again produced a good total score of 5. The last round saw some tough pairings with Anand sqeezing a draw from Kaiser Malek. Our round total was again only 3.5 but it was enough to give us a total of 19, one more than Oldham on 18. Warwickshire were the eventual winners with 24 points, 1 point ahead of Berks. With all our team being eligible for next year's fixture we can aim to do even better!
