May 2009 Castles win Croydon league Division 2 Newlyentering this division Castles started well but a couple oflosses meant theywere mid table. A finalwin, to give 5 out of 8 (4 wins, 2 draws, 2 loses) did not seem enough to win the league as other teams (CCF, Streatham) close behind had matches in hand. Somehow, though, these teams lost their remaining matches so Castles won the league by half a point. Full results on the Croydon Chess League website.
