Katherine Shepherd played very well and came second in the Under 8 section, and is British Under 8 Girls champion. Michael Blakely performed creditably in the under 9 section, with 3/7.

10 June 2006 ECF Girls Team Championships
Two fantastic results. The Castles Plus Under 9 team (Alicia Mason, Katherine Shepherd, Joise Niemira and Rachel Galvin) came 2nd with 12.5/20. The Castles Under 11 team (Charlotte West, Ruth Cooper, Bethany Nicholls and Emily Galvin) came 5th with 11/20. Well done to all of them.

20th January 2006 Wey Valley U12 Championships
Ruth Cooper and Nathan Heal both scored 2.5/5 in the tough under 12 section, follwed by Charlotte Westand James West who scored 2 and Emily Galvin who scored 1. Philip Knott came second when scoring 4.5/5 in the Under 9 section, Katherine Shepherd 2.5, Michael Blakey 2 and Rachel Galvin 1.
